Christ the
King Parish in Terrytown is seeking a part time Coordinator of
Religious Education for our established children's programs.
Resposibilities include overseeing our Parish School of Religion
(K-8th). It also includes coordinating the Parish
Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation and First
Eucharist. This position requires good communication
skills, organizational and computer skills and willing to learn
the parish data system "ParishSoft". Must have teaching
and or leadership experience as well as certification in
Religious Education or degreed or working toward either.

PART TIME
COMMISSIONED SALES REPRESENTATIVE (CSR)FOR PFLAUM
The primary task of the (CSR)
would be to obtain sales of Pflaum related products to parishes
and schools within their assigned territory (New Orleans/Baton
Rouge). Expectations of the (CSR) would be to work an
average of 25 to 50 hours per month. Their compensation
would be, a combination of commissions and a non-refundable
"draw" against those commissions. Pflaum would provide
training and sales support to the person selected. Those

BEGINNNINGS

partnership with the Archdiocese of New Orleans and
Loyola Institute for Ministry
October 15 - 17, 2010
(held on the campus Loyola University New Orleans)
The
Beginnings Institute is an intensive three day institute that
seeks to provide participants with the vision and dynamics of
the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults.
Participants at most institutes include:

liturgists
-
pastoral musicians
-
catechists
-
pastors & associates
-
Catholic school principals & teachers
-
parish catechumenate team & sponsors
-
some are paid staff menbers; many are parish volunteers
Participants explore and share how they see the vision being
implemented in their own communities. This institute is
designed to provide a working knowledge of the flow of the
initiation process and to challenge participants to
explore the connection between good liturgy and good catechesis.
